On the 5/1/5 trip we had not planned to go quite so far.  After a breakfast in Aurora, TX, we cruised on up through Decatur - next stop Saint Jo.
From Saint Jo, TX, we drove through Nocona and on to Spanish Fort, in the Illinois Bend area of the Red River.  A nice drive, albeit a non-noteworthy destination.
From Spanish Fort, along some very nice by-ways, and across to Oklahoma.  In Oklahoma we found the road straight, narrow, and boring.
Back to TX, and back to Decatur, then to DFW to end a 305 mile day.
A very enjoyable drive - less than enjoyable sunburn.
