can't edit web pages
This is very frustrating to me. I have put links to my web pages, orchids and crafty things, in my blogspot and now the
sites aren't functioning properly. I keep getting an ActiveX error message. Oh well, maybe it well improve on its own. I noticed
another Verizon site was down for maintanence, so maybe it is connected.

New Blog Address
I found a new blog place. The address is:
It is good because it allows me to link to this page and it also allows guests' comments. So go there already and disregard
the blog address in the previous post as I will not be using it.

Something new
I found a new place that I'm going to try out. It is at http://crackercrumbs.eponym.com/blog It looks more like a blog than this place. I will keep updating the pictures and such here and I'll let you know there
if there are updates here. But for musings I will use the new place for now or until I get totally confused or until you tell
me one is better. Whichever comes first.

More to see!
How exasperating this site can be! I mean, how nice of Verizon to provide the means for me to share pictures and communicate
my thoughts at no cost over my DSL subscription, (which is very reasonable, by the way). Over some days I spent hours updating
my gardening site only to be told at the end that I had exceeded my alotted space. I was using 12 MB of my 10MB. All that
time and energy was for naught. Hmphh. What to do? What I always do when stymied. Ignore it, it will go away. But it never
does, does it? So I just now purchased more space and now, magically, you can see what has been there for some time but
hidden by whatever means Verizon uses to keep people (me) within their parameters. At least, I think that you couldn't
see the stuff. Maybe you always could. I can't tell because I can see all of it when I'm creating the page. Visiting my pages
from another computer always seemed to only show truncated versions, though. Maybe I just didn't hit the publish button or
something. Imagine that, an error on my part? Tell me, please, if the sites listed here: My Interests (especially the Gardening one) are any different than they were before today. That means that you must have visited
before today or you wouldn't know, but you get the idea.
PS. the more comments I get, the more likely I am to update and add to this. (hint, hint)

Washington DC
How could I forget? In the midst of closet swapping and room rearrangement, David and I took almost two weeks off and
went to see the cherry blossoms in Washington, DC. They were beautiful and we timed it just right. We flew into Dulles airport
March 27 and rented a car to drive around. On the way we detoured to drive through DC just to check on the blossoms. Not quite
in bloom yet. On to Williamsburg and Jamestown for four days of seeing the sites. I'm not really a history person but
I did enjoy the re-enactments and all the daffodils, tulips and forsythia in bloom. And I always enjoy the glassblowing factory.
Back up to DC. We spent half a day at Mount Vernon and then I was able to find our old house on Botetourt Drive! It was
depressing...old sofas and appliances in the front yard, but I did find it (with the help of an in-car navigator that didn't
show all the little streets, my Lexus spoils me)! On to DC. The cherry blossoms were now in full bloom and just breath taking.
With the help of the congresswoman we got to see the Capitol and the White House and the Supreme Court. We saw countless museums
and memorials and cherry blossoms galore. Their Metro system is great. It took us within blocks of the meeting room in
Foggy Bottom where we met up with Andy Buchanan and his new wife. They took us out for pizza after meeting. Meagan Smith was
kind enough to drive us through the traffic nightmare to see more memorials. The last day we just couldn't do anymore so we
just took it easy and enjoyed the last flutterings of the now fading cherry blossoms and put our feet up, poor feet. We got
home on April 7. Happy 31st anniversary to us!
