BONANZA and BARON CRACK PROBLEMS

by Dick Wilson

AD 93-24-03 addresses a very serious crack problem in the rudder spars of many Bonanzas. This link presents the history, then a description of the unique solution to the AD requirements: the DW replacement hinge brackets. Following this there will appear updates, identified by dates of insertion.  The latest are September 22, 2005 and February 12, 2006

Cracks have occurred in many Bonanzas and Barons in fuselage former panels below the wing center section.  This link describes this problem and recommends simple solutions. This analysis has been growing for many months, and the additions are identified by large red dates at the left margin. The latest is July 6, 2007, a copy of a letter to the FAA regarding doubler damage.

Bad things have been happening to the T-34 fleet, and George Braly has written "If you think these problems are not relevant to Bonanzas and Barons, you are badly deceiving yourselves".  I am trying  to block these infections from our species - see  November 2, 2005 and April 29, 2006 in this link.

July 29, 2006  The "Sanders Spar Strap" is available as a non-fix for a non-problem on almost any Beech airplane.  Read all about it.
