Welcome to The Blessed Mother Magazine web site. The Blessed Mother was started in 1998 as a postal magazine, and has since
become a message board discussion group.
I am Shannon, and my hubby is Eric. We
have been married 16 years and have 6 children, Hannah 15, Mattias 13, Bekah 10, Mikayla 8, Elias 5 and Sophia 8 months.
I have always been passionate about mothering,
actually, I became passionate about mothering before I even became a mother when I devoured my first copy of Mothering Magazine.
Since then, we have practiced homebirthing, family bedding, extended breastfeeding, attachment parenting (we also implement
spanking), and homeschooling.
This web site was started to share and
encourage one another in the area of mothering, but that seemingly has changed. I once had a desire to share in all aspects
of mothering......I could talk about breastfeeding and birthing babies for hours! Don't get me wrong, I still love and am
passionate about mothering, but it seems so pale in light of my new relationship with my Daddy. I hope that this web site
brings radical encouragement to your soul and that you can see the GOODness of the Lord. We can really believe, act and move
in faith as though the scriptures are true! The Lord is truly for us...all the time!
