Karen Rossman, Ph.D., RN

Dr. Rossman is a licensed psychologist.   She received her doctoral degree from The University of Texas in Austin and she completed her internship at Austin State Hospital.  Dr. Rossman has experience working in a number of settings both inpatient and outpatient.  Having been educated in several therapy models, she treats adults and adolescents with approaches from Cognitive Behavioral Theory, Family Systems, and Gestalt Therapy.   She also works with children and helps them to address their concerns through Play Therapy.   Her treatment style is interactive and she believes in a client’s ability to collaborate on treatment goals, to participate fully in therapy, and to work toward emotional, interpersonal and psychological wholeness.  Dr. Rossman is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Washington State Psychological Association.

Dr. Rossman has an extensive background in Health Care.  She is a Registered Nurse with experience in Pediatrics and Family Practice, outpatient Medical Center management, and management development.  She understands the connection between physical and psychological wellness and she has worked with clients with chronic and acute illness.  Dr. Rossman also has a Post-Masters Certificate in Spirituality and is able to address concerns requiring the integration of Psychology and Spirituality.  Dr. Rossman’s areas of practice include:
