Dr. Patricia Worthey is a licensed psychologist who helps people maintain hope and determination in the face of adversity. She specializes in treating anxiety and depressive disorders using a cognitive-behavioral approach. This treatment philosophy teaches individual to change how they behave and feel by changing how they think.

Dr. Worthey also specializes in treating couples.  Having studied with Drs. John and Julie Gottman at the Gottman Institute, and based on their research, Dr. Worthey helps couples to feel closer by honoring each other¹s life dreams, successfully overcoming gridlock and negotiating solutions.  Dr. Worthey received her doctoral degree from the University of Virginia and completed her internship training at Des Moines Child and Adolescent Guidance Center.
