The family continues to be active in lots of new ministry activities.  Here's a couple of highlights from our recent adventures.

University Bible Church

Gregg is still leading Worship, playing guitar and singing weekly.  He went on leave from the Elder board in November 2005.

Karen is active with Women's Ministries and is active with multimedia for the Worship team.  She is a member of the Pastoral Search Committee which is in the process of identifying our new pastor.

Sky and Devon are active in Teen ministries and assist with Sunday AM Worship service setup.

Handpiece Ministries

We are continuing our support as founding members and partners of Handpiece Ministries, a dental and evangelical outreach to West Africa.  Handpiece Ministries was founded by Michael Bottrell, DDS and his family and acts as a supporting and training organization to the House of Hope and other ministries located primarily in Senegal and Mexico.

Mike and his team completed their fifth trip to Senegal in February and were able to bring along Dr. John Ebinger with the team.  Highlights from the trip including Mike's journal and photos are available if you would like to see them.  Gregg is putting together a video of the trip that will be distributed shortly.  Contact us for more info.

Awanas

Sky had such a great time with his Awanas internship last year, that he decided to stay on with them through the end of his Senior year.  Devon joined the team this year also and was most helpful in the puppet shows!

Haynes Family

Pastor and Mrs. Haynes and the family are doing much better now that they are back in New Orleans.  They are in the process of allowing some of the homeless to put their trailers on the church property.  We had a great time when they visited us for a week in January (you can see the photos at the Kodak site).  We are continuing to arrange support for the family both directly and through UBC.  If you would like to help with their support, contact us and we'll put you in touch with them.
