To My Wife
How blessed I am that our Father
has brought us together.
All the days of my youth
my soul wandered
lonely and incomplete
until we were joined.
You are my sister in Christ.
My companion in this
life and the life to come.
My long, lost rib.
How sweet are the days
because of your smile.
How warm the den of my heart
where you kindle the hospitality
for God.
The ease of your love awakens me.
Your body moves softly
in my eyes.
Your voice inspires
my calm embrace.
What joy has been honored me
with no device
of my own.
Only the most gracious Lord
would reward one so greatly
for such little service.
He has lifted me up where I am
and showered His gifts on me.
I praise Him for these blessings
and for your love.
Song of Sol 5:13 His cheeks are as a bed of spices, as sweet
flowers: his lips like lilies, dropping sweet smelling myrrh.

wine was gone out of Nabal, and his wife had told him these things, that his heart died within him and he became as stone.

Isaiah 61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give
unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might
be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He might be glorified.
