Our sons (12 and 15 years old) have been students of Mr. Salisbury for approximately 2 months.  This is their first time taking private lessons for an instrument and it has been a great experience.  They are very comfortable with Mr. Salisbury and have learned so much in the short time with him.  We appreciate the passion, patience and enthusiasm that Mr. Salisbury has demonstrated at these weekly sessions.  And Mr. Salisbury makes it possible for the kids to showcase their hard work at various local venues.

My daughter began with learning fundamentals on the snare drum and is now playing the drum set.  With the instruction she has received from the Manassas Dale City Drum Studio, she has been able to build on her experience with the school orchestra and school band.  Mr. Salisbury is a wonderful and patient teacher.  One very important note, Mr. Salisbury is always looking for opportunities for the students of MDCDS to showcase their talents.  My daughter has been playing for just over 1 year and yet has had 4 public performances! As a professional who's been playing for over 15 years, I have found David's instruction to be very helpful to improving my playing almost from my first lesson. He is very hands on and I have already started to apply what I have learned. His four pronged approach -  drumset, rudiments, reading, and practical application, always make the lesson time exciting.
