Feb 8, 2006 it' begins!!!
Foam board "mock-up" photos to check angles before getting down to business...

Working in Plastic
Progress now continues with the first styrene Proto-type... These are photos of my 2nd try
as the first was off due to ONE little 1/2" mistake that threw off an entire hull... Now of course it's good to go...

Detail Pieces for the Hull of the Jagd

Above you see the Armored Exhaust, Rear Crew Hatch, Shell Ejection Port, Commander's Periscope (under
construction), Gunner's Sight Block (long kidney shaped piece), Front Hull MG Ball Turret and Crew Exhaust Vent...

Above is a detail shot of the Crew Compartment Exhaust Vent...

Above is a detail shot of the Gunner's Sight Block, I'll be making a Monocular Periscope "mock-up"
to protrude through the opening....

Detail shot of the Rear Crew / Gun Maintainence Hatch and Hindge Assembly... Part of the Shell
Casing Ejection Port Hatch can be seen to the right...

Top Deck Masters Done
These will go into rubber for casting ALL the pieces necessary to finish off the top deck Details...
I have four pieces for the rear to do still as well as the antenna mounts, engine grates, Gun Mount ring and lastly the Gun
Mantlet... I hope to have these parts done within the next 6 to 7 days... Then onto the actual build... I can't wait...

Gun Mount Ring
This piece is already to go, next come the mantlet...

Progress as of 04-19-06
Well after a brief hiatus, I've been back to working on detail pieces... I finished up the Armored
Trans Covers, Rear Engine Acess/Tow piece, various small access panels for the rear, Engine Hatch Vents, Antenna Mount &
Command Antenna Mounts seen in this photo below...

Front Fenders
Below you see the masters for the Front Fender pieces that will go to Steve "Panzerwerk" Hoeger
by next week... I still have to make the three Storage Bins for the rear of the "fighting compartment" and ass-end of the
Tank...

The Crew
Below you see the four men of the crew I made up for this piece, the fifth crew member being the
driver would rarely be seen hence his absence here... Two center figures are the Tank Commander and Gunner in the complete
Splinter Camo uniforms... To the left is the Loader and on the far right, the Radio Operator/MG Gunner... My crew was made
to represent Troopers from the Panzer Lehr Division in Summer 1944...

04-23-06 More Detail Pieces Done...
I finished up the fenders, adding the hindged front access panels, the two rear storage boxes with
working hatch and hinges, and the Armored Exhaust for a late model Jagd... All shown below... Just three more pieces to do
then on with the build...
