In November 2007, Ryan and Washington pastor Tim Walker traveled to Botswana, Africa, to teach a pastors conference with the Institute of Leadership & Biblical Studies there.  Ryan taught Old Testament Survey and team-taught Discipleship & Church Planting with Tim, who also taught Major Bible Doctrines.  Kekgaoditse Suping, the leader of the Institute, also taught a class on Leadership, Ethics, and Accountability.
