At one time, six churches served the residents of Chester Township.  Four of these churches continue today:  Conklin Reformed Church (originally a Congregational Church), North Chester Baptist Church, St. Francis Xavier Church, and Trinity Lutheran Church.  Two churches located in the village of Lisbon have closed:  Lisbon Free Will Baptist Church and Lisbon Methodist Church.
