The
first Grand Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star was organized in Michigan in 1867.*
Twenty-six years after the
establishment of Lisbon Lodge No. 229, after due procedure in 1893, Lotus Chapter of Eastern Star was instituted in 1894. Members of the Lotus Chapter met in the same building as Lisbon Lodge No. 229.
The Lotus Chapter of Eastern
Star is no longer active.
