History

Presumably some sort of mythological creature brought to life, Chimera was the arch enemy of Talos, a towering hero that stood over three hundred feet tall. During the 1950s, Chimera and Talos battled frequently, earning the serpent beast the reputation as the “Terrific Titan’s” arch nemesis.

The final fight between Chimera and Talos took place sometime in the 1960s, when the two grappled beneath the waters of Paragon City’s bay. “A mighty battle ensued, shaking Paragon City to its foundations, tearing a giant rift in the ocean floor from which earth and lava rose to form an island. Known today as Talos Island, it is said that both Talos and the Chimera are still locked in mortal combat within its stony embrace.”

In Greek mythology, a Chimera is a fire-breathing "she-monster" that appears to be part lion, part goat, and part serpent.

It's assumed that Chimera is classified as a Monster, rather than a Boss or Lieutenant. It's unlikely that there is any archetype capable of covering Chimera's "powers," most of which are likely derived from the creature's great size.
