History

"Thomas Fall grew up in an affluent community outside of Chicago with his father, Prof. Timothy Fall, a world-renowned chemist. To get attention from his busy parent, Thomas quite naturally followed in his father’s footsteps and spent his teenage years conducting experiments in his basement lab while his father proudly watched on. Even though Prof. Fall had won a Nobel prize for his scientific achievements, Thomas’s talents were undeniable, and many thought he would eventually surpass his father.

"Despite Thomas’s similarity to his father, he was not particularly close to either one of his parents. It wasn’t that he didn’t love them; he was just always busy with his next great experiment. By the age of twenty, Thomas’s emotional detachment from others had become so great that he had no idea what to feel when he received the news that his parents were killed in an explosion at his father’s lab. The authorities were never able to determine the cause of the accident. Foul play was suggested, but there was no evidence to prove it.

"As a result of his parents’ death, Thomas inherited a sizable estate. He didn’t really care about that, for he’d never really valued material possessions -- for many years now science and learning had been his primary focus. But in going over the will with his lawyer, Thomas came across a piece of property in Paragon City. Strangely, he could not remember his parents ever mentioning ownership of this residence. Driven by a need to know more, Thomas boarded a jet to the famed City of Heroes.

"The Paragon City property turned out to be a townhouse in the scenic Talos Island area. Though nice, the place was not particularly striking. The interior lacked any of the touches his parents would have added – his mother, for instance, loved the colors red & gold, and yet the house contained no colors of the sort. It seemed calculatingly normal.

"While exploring the property, Thomas stumbled across a secret laboratory in the cellar. The lab and its various storerooms, stretched for several stories beneath the sidewalks of Paragon City. Over the next several days, Thomas went through crates and boxes in the storerooms - hoping find the lab’s main purpose. In one container, Thomas found an antiquated metal battlesuit. After a quick search online, he discovered that the armor was that of the dreaded World War II villain, Panzer who had disappeared in January, 1945, shortly after the Battle of the Bulge. Most assumed that Panzer had destroyed his armor and blended in with the other German soldiers. A few crackpots theorized that the American government had given Panzer asylum in the U.S. in return for the battlesuit’s technology. And now, here it was.

"Even more strange, Thomas discovered that his father had been conducting many secret experiments for Crey Industries over the years. Even sheltered Thomas knew that Crey was the largest corporation in the world, with interests stretching into every corner of life. But what truly terrified Thomas was that his father’s experiments bordered on the illegal – synthetic narcotics, genetic manipulation and mind control. Such shady deals made Thomas wonder whether Crey may have had some involvement in the death of his parents.

"Thomas modified the Panzer battlesuit and decided to use it to get some answers. He renamed himself Dreadnought and - armed with his new powers - he hopes to solve the mystery surrounding his parent’s death and perhaps find something out about himself in the process."

Dreadnought was introduced through the tanker archetype walk-through. It's unclear whether he will be an actual NPC in the final game.
