History

It is unknown how long War Witch has been fighting crime in Paragon City, although she seems quite knowledgeable about the city and its villains. After the Rikti invasion, War Witch partnered with the hero Apex in order to battle the group known as Freakshow. They were soon joined by Thunderclap. After defeating the Freakshow villains, War Witch joined her new "team" on a Freedom Phalanx mission to investigate a break-in at a prominent downtown building. The heroes soon discovered that the crime was perpetrated by members of the Fifth Column, a Nazi villain group originally formed during World War II. Although War Witch fought valiantly, she was violently ambushed by one of the Fifth column armored soldiers. Fortunately, the Statesman arrived to save the fledgling hero group.

War Witch first appeared in the original City of Heroes comic book. It is unknown whether she will appear in the final game, although she will be a recurring character in the ongoing comic book series (according to images provided to Gamespy). Her power combination seems to suggest the Blaster archetype with two primary powers; however, the list of powers for in-game characters is still in flux (and War Witch was invented long before the start of beta).
