History
Little is known about Apex. Previously
from Miami,
he arrived in Paragon City sometime after
the Rikti invasion and soon joined forces with the heroine known as War Witch and the rookie hero Thunderclap. After defeating a group
of Freakshow thugs in one of the city's many hazard zones, Apex volunteered the trio for a Freedom Phalanx mission that involved investigating a suspected break-in. The fledgling group discovered that the culprits were heavily armed
members of the Fifth Column. The villains had planted bombs throughout a prominent downtown building. Apex and his allies located and defused two of
the bombs, but were then brutally attacked by one of the Fifth Column's giant armored drones. Only the timely arrival of the
Statesman saved the heroes and the building.
Apex’s
partnership with War Witch has continued, to the point where the two now share an apartment together (although the relationship
appears platonic). They have recently become embroiled in a campaign against Dr. Vahzilok, for which they have been joined
by the hero Horus.
