This website was originally created
to tell the story of one very special feral cat who miraculously survived
after being shot in the head with
a rifle. "Stripy" is the inspiration behind this ongoing effort to help improve
the lives of other homeless stray and feral cats.
STRIPY IS HOME AND DOING WELL!
July 18, 2011: Thank you to everyone who
kept Stripy in their thoughts and prayers during his recent illness and hospitalization. We are very happy to report
that he is now at home and doing well! His latest bloodwork showed no sign of kidney or liver failure and
his appetite is back to normal. Although Stripy has ongoing health issues with megacolon and neurological damage due
to his prior tail injuries, he is feeling much better!
Check Stripy's Facebook page for more updates on his condition.

On July 16th, 2010 we very sadly said goodbye to the elderly
Maine Coon kitty we knew as "Mangy." Though Mangy had not been with our alley cat colony for much longer than a year,
and in spite of his age, he had established himself as the alpha male - or "boss cat." His loss has had a deep impact
on our colony cats - as it has on us. So sorry, buddy. We love you and will miss you.
