The Everett Ravens became a team in March 2004 with 12 members.
We are now at 26 members full time. Our mission is to bring the sport of ice hockey to women in the Everett
area, no matter how little their previous skating or hockey experience. Half of our team began skating for
the first time in 2004 and have worked hard to learn ice skating as well as ice hockey skills.
In Summer 2005, we lowered our age limit to 16 years to
include many of the high school age s in the everett area who are showing an interest in the sport. At this time
they will be competing at an Beginner Level as a member of our regular team. But, if interest grows, perhaps
in the next few years we will see a Ravens high school age s team skate out of Everett.
Practices are held at 7:45 PM every Tuesday at the main ice of the Comcast Arena. Additional
time is spent at Puckmasters in Mukilteo.
Hockey is a fast growing sport among the female population. Every year we add several
new skaters to the team.
Our coaches, managers, scorekeepers, etc...are volunteers. The ice is very expensive
to rent. we welcome any support, financial, coaching, advertisement...that we can get.
