How It Works

   Lend us your paid freight bills (or copies, if preferred) for the period of time needed. We audit them for overcharges, file claims and effect refunds due you. We then submit the refund checks to you with our invoice for our service.

What We Charge

   Our fee is 50% of refunds effected. We charge an additional 10% if we audit behind another commercial freight auditor. If behind two previous freight auditors our commision is 70%.

What Are The Benefits?

   You get the money and you get the feedback information which you can review to determine the reasons for the claims. You can then take some corrective steps for future shipping. Feedback information is in the form of detailed claim listing reports. Claim copies will be furnished when requested.

What Freight Bills Do We Audit?

   We audit truck, freight forwarder, railroad, and air freight bills up to their various statues of limitations which can be from six months to three years (or more) depending upon the carriers involved. Contracts can specify specific time limits of any amount of time the parties agree to. This includes air parcel and express carriers DHL, Federal Express, Emery among all others.

Is This Worth The Trouble?

   Sometimes it isn't for us. Luckily it is usually worthwhile or we and all the other auditors wouldn't be doing this. At the very least you are more assured that you are getting the most for your freight dollar.

Okay, Which Bills Should Be Audited First?

   We should start with the older freight bills which are close to the 180 day claim notification time limit for truck and air carriers in order to avoid bumping into this time limit roadblock by so many carriers policies. The actual legal statute is 18 months for motor carriers and three years for rail carriers.
