BIOGRAPHY

In2001, Big Daddy Karl had a vision to start a Blues Band....the urge grew stronger after making the rounds of local Seattle Blues Jams hosted by Scotty Harris and Raven Humphries. There, he had the opportunity to meet and play with a variety of Blues Musicians, while putting together the start of what would become Free Reign Blues Band. After several months, he asked fellow musicians, Bill Davis and Dave Albert, to join Dave Nordquist and Allen Dorfman, as they perfected their style of Chicago, Delta, and West coast Blues.

BIG DADDY KARL - Drums and Vocals

Started music career over 30 years ago playing Rock n Roll. Developed a love for Blues after meeting and playing drums with legendary Blues guitarist, Albert Collins, and Issac Scott, in the 70's. During the mid 80's, Karl had the opportunity to play with friend, and guitar player and vocalist, Coco Montoya ( former drummer for Albert Collins),who encouraged Karl to continue playing the Blues.....................................................................................

DAVE ALBERT - Guitar and Vocals

Started music career over 35 years ago playing guitar. Dave has played in various parts of the country, and abroad, playing with various Blues and other musicians.

Dave has also played with, and done studio recordings with different styles of Blues and Rock n Roll artists..........

BILL DAVIS - Harmonica and Vocals

Bill teaches 8th grade Science. He has 35 years experience playing Chicago, Delta Blues, Country, and Bluegrass Harmonica. His first experience and encouragement came in the late 70's after grauating from college, and traveling across the U.S.A.meeting up with Little Bill and the Bluenotes. Bill has been playing at Jams, Festivals, and professionally ever since...................

ALLEN DORFMAN - Keyboards

Started music career over 40 years ago as a youn child playing the piano. He then continued his music career by receiving his Doctorate Degree. Allen grew up in Chicago, Ill.,already aware of Chicago style Blues and other styles of music................................................................................

DAVE NORDQUIST - Bass

Has over 40 years experience playing string instruments including cello, six string guitar, besides the bass guitar.

Has played with Big Daddy Karl off and on since early 70's. Dave also has played with other local Northwest musicians throughout his career. He prefers old classic blues, as well as, Chicago, Delta and West Coast style of Blues...................................................................................
