Scribbles

Signs of aging.

I was listening to a trucker radio station out of Boise Idaho the other night and started to daydream about being a driver. Yeah that would be cool, to be out on the road in my 18 wheeler. We got us a convoy good buddy, and all that.

My mind quickly leaped to thinking, "that sounds pretty hard maybe I should drive a more comfortable rig. Maybe an RV of some sort would be the ticket?" Those things take a lot of concentration...maybe a sports car and a good looking babe to ride with. I'm a little long in the tooth for that midlife crisis, so maybe a nice comfortable luxury car, and a good looking woman to ride with.

On second thought how about a luxury car and a good looking nurse? I don't even care if she's good looking just so she knows CPR and is familiar with CRS.

When the day is done.

I like that sentence. It sounds better than,

When the day is done, then it's the next day.

CRS

Stands for "can't remember stuff" or "can't remember sh.." if you want a cruder saying.

I'm having a little CRS moment. I had one other scribble but can't remember what it was.

Maybe later.

Actually CRS is way overblown in my opinion. I don't think the effects of aging cause us to forget nearly as much as we assume. What I think happens is a self-fulfilling prophecy, that we assume as we get older we don't remember as well. Take a look at a teenager some time and see how much they can't recall. Anyway I'm a firm believer in "use it or lose it". Use your mind and it will remain strong. CRS be darned.
