A commercially available 2-hour instructional DVD (or PAL videotape for non-US viewing) on acting training, featuring William Smithers' wife, Lorrie Hull Smithers, Ph.D., author of Strasberg's Method: As Taught by Lorrie Hull (originally published by Oxbow Press, 1985; updated and reissued by Hull-Smithers, 2004). 

"The Method" was directed by Mr. Smithers and has introductions by him, Martin Landau and Shelley Winters.

Relaxation Techniques and 4 Basic Sensory and Concentration Exercises are explained and demonstrated, and there are Scene Critiques by Lorrie Hull and Cloris Leachman.

A logical follow-up to "The Method," this 2-hour instructional DVD on acting training has introductions by Martin Landau and Shelley Winters and interviews of John Savage, Susan Strasberg and Mark Rydell, co-Artistic Director of Actors Studio West.
 
It explains and demonstrates the techniques of Substitution, Personalization, Creating a Place, advanced Sensory Work; the techniques and uses of Improvisation and Affective Memory; and includes a scene critique by William Smithers with Emmy winner and Tony nominee Charles S. Dutton.
