Jim Hynd began his career performing for children's birthday parties. Jim's show is a very clean, upbeat and downright silly magical performance. Children of all ages love the stories, antics, running gags and surprising magical conclusions that Jim provides. The bonus is that the adults also get a kick out of the parallel line of humor and are baffled by the magic as well. Adults

Whether you are looking to book a show for an adult's birthday or special occasion, civic association or business party, Jim has a show that will fit the bill for you and your guests. He can adjust the show to accommodate any age group. His comedy and magical effects are alternated based on the particular type of audience. Senior citizens can enjoy a clean, wholesome, good-humored show at a dinner party, dance, civic event, restaurant, church organization or even a nursing home. A business crowd might prefer a more streamlined performance. A younger crowd may prefer a show that is a little more risqué. You decide and Jim will deliver.

Children & Adults

Very often an audience has a combination of adults and children. Jim has mastered the ability to present a show that will entertain all audiences. Jim's magic will amaze any mind (we're all children at heart anyway). The comedy is a mix of slapstick, puns, one-liners, clean enough for the kids but sophisticated enough for the adults. Unless you just hate fun, I guarantee you'll be tickled by the show!

Show Length

Jim can customize a show for your particular needs. A typical "act" lasts about 40 minutes. However, a show can last for as little as 15 minutes or as long one hour. He also performs what is called "strolling magic" (see next section) which can last for several hours. It all depends on your needs and wants.

"Strolling" Magic

Strolling magic is a wonderful form of close-up entertainment. This is where the magician "strolls" through a crowd, perhaps in a restaurant or large party. It is ideal for situations where it is not practical to set up a "stage" act. The magician is close-up and more intimate because the size of the immediate audience can range from approximately 1 to 10 people. It doesn't matter. It brings out a very powerful and comical side of Jim. Sometimes people will have a "stage" show (see next section) followed by strolling magic, or vice versa. It's up to you. Strolling magic may be perfect for these situations: restaurants, weddings, house parties, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, retirement parties, graduation parties, etc.

"Stage" Magic

This style of performance is more formal in that there is a stage area facing a seated audience. Often it is a real stage with lights and sound; other times it is a cleared area of a living room or patio. This is an exciting show because the power of a unified audience generates energy from Jim that always delivers great fun.
