Earlier Imaging Attempts

Equipment:  Obsession Telescope with 25" Galaxy Optics Mirror, Stellarcat ServoCAT with ArgoNavis DSC, Optec Inc. Pyxis Field De-Rotator, Optec TCF-S, SBIG ST-2000XCM, SBIG AO-7.

The images on this page were taken with the camera setup at the focuser and a 3.5" secondary mirror.  The truss tubes were shortened approximately 8 inches, resulting in a loss of over half the light from the 25" Galaxy Optics mirror.

Overexposed. I'm told this image would have improved dramatically if I had used a "Flat Field".

Taken with Nikon F100 Camera.

Kodak Bright Sun 100 Film.

My knowledge of post processing is next to nothing.  Guess the images can only improve from here on!
