January 2010

Happy New Year from EAS headquarters.

It seemed time to catch up at least a little on the big backlog of review CDs. Thank you to all the great musicians out there who keep submitting your music to review, and I will do my best to keep trying to get the word out.

This month features over 25 new reviews, and an interview with Joost Egelie from Belgium. Never heard of him? You should, especially if you like the Berlin school electronic music sound typified by the Schmoelling era of Tangerine Dream. Check out his download albums, which are FREE!

Of course, the January issue would not be complete without the Year In Review, looking back at the best releases of 2009. Some surprises on the list, so check it out.

Last but not least:  I've been meaning for ages to clean up the HTML on this site and make it more user friendly, esp. the Reviews section. An EAS reader offered to "munge" my HTML code and clean up the site a couple of months ago.  Regrettably I did not keep your email.  If you could contact me again I would be very interested in seeing what you can come up with.  Thanks!
