The grand epic of Tales of Aurduin comes to an exciting and dynamic conclusion in the fourth volume of the series, The Fifth Temple.

All of the various narrative threads of the series come together in this final installment of the series.   The fourth volume focuses on the union of Ashi, the leader of the Tal, and Jao, the renunciate leader of the aggressive Jolao.  Bound together by kyandara knives and their relationship to Miraanni, it is up to these two to unravel the final mystery of the fate of Aurduin and to raise the Fifth Temple.

Total war has now engulfed Aurduin with the Jolao launching a major offensive against the resistance, encircling Jeaniaurduin with a massive military machine.  Miraanni returns to the Mwataan to finally come to terms with her own identity, her secret past, and her alternate manifestations.  Under Orobai's guidance Miraanni understands that the ritual of their lives must be brought to a conclusion, regardless of the outcome.  Thus the cycle of creation, destruction, and recreation is completed and the cycle begins anew with the raising of the Fifth Temple.
