(It's hard to believe it's November already when I'm still working on
March. )
This is the time of year when the holidays beckon and our thoughts turn
to get-togethers with the family and the communal warmth of friends in this, the season of harvest.
Welcome to the online gallery
for photographer Steven Barber. Come in, relax, take off your shoes and socks (or any other article of clothing for that matter)
(this IS the internet, after all), and have a look around. I hope to intrigue, amuse, entertain, and maybe provoke you just
a little.

This month's On the Road Essay takes us to the far northern Canada town of Churchill for a couple of days on the Tundra
with the bears.

My philosophy is that the most important element of any work of art is the effect, positive
or negative, the work has on you, the viewer. If you do not react ... feel ... then what is the point of asking you to look?
Look around, stay a while, maybe even leave a comment. You'll see new features, new works,
and a new design (with a few things yet to come).
And, as always, thank you for taking the time to look in.
