We usually celebrate a New Year, a couple of weeks after the season of Winter has begun, on Winter Solstice on December
21st. Our Season Cycles are conducive to our Birth Cycles, most especially those born on the 20th, 21st and 22nd of any month,
as those are usually the dates for Season changes/Solstices or Equinoxes. The seasons change four times yearly: Spring Equinox
(vernal) March 20th; Summer Solstice June 21st; Fall Equinox (Autumnal) September 22nd; and, Winter Solstice December 21st.
People born on the actual date of an equinox or solstice - this is your New Year! The cyclic patterns of the Universe are
in sync with our own, even more so when we are paying attention to them.
Spring would seem to make more sense, to celebrate anything "NEW", as it is the time of the year for the hope and the
possibilities of abundance with new growth, renewed life force, new creations and new visions, as the Winter freeze thaws
our solitude and transforms our cold rest to warmer energy. Instead, we celebrate Easter, same concept - sometime after Solstice,
where signs of life are returning to the land, as babies, blossoms, color, and the sweet smell of Nature reborn. This is a
time for building a foundation with deep roots to stand firm in your place within the Universe, reaching upward and outward
towards the Sun, extending yourself to others.
Summertime is a time that most plan a vacation, fun and playful activities. It is the time to "WEED" out unwanted pests
or negative energy, by nurturing what has grown and fortify thoughts and ideas of serving and providing for others' who may
need shelter, clothing or food. We usually entertain more, interact more and share with others the fruits of our labors of
an abundant Spring. We don't take as much, seriously and our efforts and attitudes have a more child-like quality to nourish
and heal the Spirit of all that they play with. The warmth of the Sun leaves us to shading those who may need rest, and shelter
those who come to us. It is also the time to "ask" for help.
Autumn/Fall is 'Fruition' or coming to fulfillment or realization - bearing fruit in the harvest of evaluating the gains
and losses of your labors. Examining what is solid and dependable, what we think is important to keep or let go of, and what
to rely on. We send our children off to school before Fall officially begins, to bear knowledge, renew friendships, and prepare
for changes. We either renew our fears or strengths during this time, sometimes dropping a few leaves, while others may 'prune'
their branches for less or more abundance in the future. This is the perfect time for tackling addictive behaviors and attitudes.
Wintertime is more a time of 'hibernation' or rest, yet most of us are hectically 'running' around rather than conserving
our resources. Going within during this time is Universal among Nature, a time for self-examination, putting our thoughts
and feelings to sleep, changing our actions to less reactive, and settling to the stillness or mystery of life, death and
rebirth. The cold and dark time of our ancestors' are shared, as we attempt to stay warm, safe and dry, conserving the harvest
of fuel, preparing for storms and awaiting the renewal of our past, present and future.
Soon it will begin again...again....again...again...
The Cycles/Seasons have been in effect, as long as records have been kept of those gazing towards the skies to seek direction.
Some of us are blessed with the actual changing of the seasons, where it is an obvious occurence, some of us have to look
at a calendar to notice that it will occur, while even more are oblivious to the effects and real consciousness of a seasonal
change occuring. If we all began 'Seasoning our Cycles', simply by knowing when you are due for a change, and flowing with
it, rather than ignoring it or going against it - you may feel quite different about your life and it's place in the Universal
plan. The season that you were born in is a good place to begin, as the path of the season is generally synchronized with
the lessons and patterns of the changes occuring during that season. If you choose to just mark off the calendar, you will
not benefit following someone else's 'cycles', they are not YOU/Universal dates - they are human-made beliefs and choices
made for you.
Our destiny's can be simply defined as Seasonal: Spring-born are deeply connected to birth, rebirth, and anything related
to seeding for the future - teachers, gardeners, growers, pre-natal and natal care, inventors, creators, investors, emergency
care, caregivers for children and animals, builders, parenting, and always reaching forward; Summer-born are deeper ingrained
than most, to not taking life too seriously and staying connected to child-like imaginations-entertainers, artists, musicians,
self-employed, architects, clothing sales & design, chefs, philanthropists, entrepeneurs, gamblers, storytellers, comedians,
and always staying young at heart; Autumn-born are connected to realizing full potential and fulfilling ideas and dreams -
theologians, coaches, public defenders, scientists, psychologists, counselors, healers, activists, revolutionary's, and always
getting to the root of an issue; Winter-born are most driven by deep thought and planned action through conservation and preparation
- rangers, firefighters, law enforcement, transportation, professors, coroners, physicists, philosophers, poets, military,
scouting, conservationists, banking, accountants, and are always prepared for future events. So you see, by defining your
Universal Cycles, you exercise your perogative to changing your mind about the choices you make about a blissful career, rather
than a guidance counselor telling you based on test scores, what you may be qualified to do. It may quite simply be based
upon your cycle of birth or when you chose to come into this Universe, as a human being on this Planet Earth - could it be
that simple?
