Dear Jan,
Thank you for
the cookies. Your daughter is a fantastic baker. They tasted as good as fresh baked cookies. There was quite a buzz in the
hall way when I put them out for the guys. I told them these are going to be great, try one. Even guys who weren’t in
the mood for cookies were commenting on how delicious they were and taking another with them.
Sorry communication
has been difficult this week. Some stuff has gone through and other stuff gets delayed in transit. I sent three emails to
my parents on Thanksgiving and 2 went through and another never did.
I need to double
check to make certain but I think we have received all of the stuff you sent on that inventory list. I took some pictures
and will send them as soon as I can get them transferred to a disk. My assistant has the check list with his work papers right
now so I can not be specific, but I believe we received 3 boxes of popcorn, 2 boxes of socks, 8 boxes of candy, 1 box of oatmeal,
3 boxes of home baked cookies. I know that doesn’t account for everything but those are the big ones that I remember
setting out for the guys.
I’ll get
the specifics from John tomorrow but I wanted to send an email assuring you that we are enjoying your kindness and your friend’s
generosity. The treats have without question boosted morale around here. Just a moment ago a Marine stepped into my office,
admiring the smell of the treats and the coffee and took a deep sigh while eating one of your daughter’s cookies and
said, “wow it smells good in here, If I close my eyes it almost seems like I’m back home with family right now.”
I received a
slew of email today so I wanted to take a moment while my connection is good and let you know how much your kindness means
to us.
May God bless
you and your family this Christmas,
Jaisen Fuson
