I just got those boxes a couple days ago, when I returned from a trip up

north! Please pass along to your daughter that those cookies were the

most popular item we have received in a long time. I kept two of the

foil packages for myself, and left the boxes open near the coffee pots.

As the Marines stopped in my office and tasted the cookies, they went

running for the where the boxes were to get a package of their

own...Those cookies didn't last long-please thank your daughter for us!

Times are slowing down here now, with not so many operations being

conducted. Another election day is happening here, and the violence has

subsided greatly.

Continue to keep us in your prayers. I am attaching our latest

battalion photo, taken about a week ago in front of our command post

building.
