Misrepresenting Africa

In 1996 Busch Garden in Tampa, Florida issued a statement with a "pledge and a promise" to entertain and provide " education, conservation, and research" in their park (Keim 19). Despite their attempts to provide accurate depictions of Africa in their theme park, Busch Gardens continues to portray inconsistencies and misleading images of Africa. This web site points out some, but by no means all, of the inconsistencies, stereotypes and misrepresentations at Busch Gardens.
