LIFE ON JUPITER AND MARS
( . . .Show me what life is like on Jupiter and Mars)
Remember the lyrics of the popular song "Fly me to the Moon" back in the late 60's? That's where the title of
this little piece came from.
Scientists, many of whom are religious too, think the universe has the same laws of physics and chemistry and is uniform
everywhere. All dimensions and discoveries may not be fully understood for eons of time into the future - but humans are making
some progress in findings.
Many more surprises in science and technology are coming. Astronomy, in my opinion, is still the science of everything.
Life on other planets similar to our Solar system is comparable, if not identical. There must be infinite possibilities when
we finally will get the opportunity to "see" what life is like on those distant planets. Just think how surprised
our ancient astronomers would be to see and understand what we know today!
A fact is we are not sure what the size of the whole universe is or how old. It was found that less than eight decades
ago Edwin Hubble discovered "Island Universes." Recent discoveries show galaxies might be infinite in numbers too.
I would not be surprised if future scientists prove many of the life forms we know on our planet came to us as seeds at
infinite distances from far away galaxies. After all, meteorites from our own Solar system turn up regularly. And how much
other matter has reached us over time and space?
