Since 1956, Las Madrecitas, an auxiliary of the Crippled Children's Guild, has provided volunteer services and financial support to Orthopaedic Hospital located in downtown Los Angeles.  The mission of the hosptial is to provide orthopaedic care to children regardless of their family's ability to pay. 

 

Member's of Las Madrecitas are women of the Palos Verdes Peninsula and surrounding areas.  The organization also sponsors an auxilialry for their teenage daughters known as Las Ninas de Las Madrecitas, which serves the hospital and community through volunteer activities.
