I had a small Internet site that sold solar equipment for about three years.I sold only one type of inverter, I imported
it from Holland it was a grid tie inverter.which basically means that you generate power back to the grid and run your meter
backwards.this was the world's smallest grid tie inverter at only 100 watts.
The beautiful thing about this grid tie inverter was that it was small enough to mount to the back of a solar panel, no
complicated installation necessary you simply use the double sided tape and you were done.
The inverter would convert 24 V DC from the solar panel to 120 V AC to be used by the homeowner or sold back to the grid,
thus the term grid tie inverter.but the truly beautiful thing about this beautiful little machine is that in order to hook
up to the grid all you had to do is plug into any receptacle in the House.
