Carol started painting china with her Great Aunt when she was a young child. When she became a teenager she put
down her brushes in pursuit of other interests. Many years later she picked them up when she started taking classes in oil
painting.
In 2001, she found an old piece of china her Aunt had painted and decided to give it a try again. Since that time it
has become the passion of her life.
In just one year she was teaching and invited to take private classes with Kay Houston, one of the few Masters in the
art today. Kay has become her friend as well as her mentor.
Carol loves to share her gift of art with others and gives several free demos to the local schools and local clubs in
her area each year. She has given demos for the State Federation of Porcelain Artists.
Carol is the past President of Porcelain Art Guild of North Texas. She has also served as 2nd Vice President
of the club. She and is now very active in her club.
She lives in a small county town just north of the Dallas metroplex. Her yard is full of wonderful visiual aids,
from grapes, peaches, pears, blackberrys, to roses and wild violets. It wold not be unusual to find road runners, hawks,
woodpeckers, or any number of other wild life wondering in the yard.
