Here is my Cobra 2000 GTL cb base station new in 1989.I have an amplified Astatic D-104 on this radio and a Solarcon
A-99 with the gpk/1 radial kit at 30 feet.I have been a cber for 45 (1963) years and enjoy talking to people &
old friends on the cb still.I can be found on Channel 9,19,36,37 & 38 lsb sometimes.I do a lot of listening on 36,there
are a group of locals here that would like to be hams but just cant because they arent smart enough & its very enjoyable
for me to watch them flounder around in their own ignorance...Now some of them have become ``Hams`` but will never be
Amateur Radio Operators.I get extreem pleasure in knowing that these same people are so jealous of me because i
take for granted things they will never ever understand or be able to do...There are also some good friends on 36 that
i enjoy talking with often.
This is a photo of my Globe Star that i bought used in 1965.This was my first cb base station.
Here is my Globe CB-100, my first mobil.I bought this used in mid 1963 & had it in my mist green & cream 1957
chevy with a bumper mount 108 inch whip.Man life was good... Below:
Here is a photo of me erecting my spaulding 48 ft tower in 1968.I had a 5 element monoband at the top,59 ft.I did this
work by myself.

Above is a picture of me at the operating position at my ``HAM`` station. Here is where i spend a lot of time ``working``
other amateur radio operators (HAMS) around the world.I have a variety of equipment & antennas and may i add the know
how to get this job done very well.On this page i will attempt to give you a brief history of me and amateur radio and show
you some pictures of some of my equipment old and new.I enjoy working the digital modes such as sstv, rtty, psk, vhf
& hf packet, chip 64,Pactor & Amtor and love CW.Im of the opinion that if you dont do cw,keep a logbook & qsl 100%
your not a ``REAL HAM``!You can find me anywhere between 160m & 70cm all mode`s & in many contests.Here lately i have
been doing a lot of CW on 160.I keep a close watch on 6 meters and whenever it opens you will find me there.Above all i like
to work cw and contest and i can be found on the bands where the action is taking place.
My Vibroplex Code Warrior jr.This is so smooth, efortless, the tension adjustment is magnetic there are no springs.
My MFJ-564 iambic dual paddle key.A solid performer.
The above picture is of my bencher BY-1 dual paddle iambic key.Its very heavy base and gold plated solid silver contacts
make it one of the best keys available.
