If you are seeking a peaceful vacation get-away that still feels
like home, please read on about Beulah View Cottage.
The village of Beulah is on the northwestern coast of Michigan, minutes from Lake Michigan, on Crystal Lake. The Benzie County area is considered a premier vacation spot that
has been loved by generations. Crystal Lake is one of the largest inland lakes in Michigan, known for it's sparkling
blue water that "appears" as travelers from north or south come over the hills around Beulah on US 31.
Our Cottage is near two dead end streets in a quiet spot, just one block from the main
street of Beulah, and two blocks from the public beach and boat launch ramp on Crystal Lake. It is an older home, remodelled
inside and out, and comfortably sleeps 10.
We encourage folks to look on line at the websites on our
"contact us" page for
more details about things to do in Benzie County and northwestern Michigan. Right in the Village of Beulah
there are great shops,a deli, restaurants, pubs, bowling alley, bicycle/watercraft sales and rental, grocery store, antiques, and
new in 2005, the Betsie Valley trail head building. The town tennis court and playground are two blocks away right by the
Crystal Lake beach.
Within a 10 to 30 minute drive you'll find the Cherry Bowl drive in theater, many golf
courses, local art galleries, tubing, canoeing, fishing, and wineries. Unlike many resort areas up north, most shops
in Beulah and surrounding towns of Benzonia and Frankfort, stay open year around. Benzonia is one mile away and has
full service stores, fast food, etc. Beulah is the Benzie County seat, and Frankfort has a full service hospital open 24 hours
a day-7 miles away.
The beaches of Lake Michigan in Benzie county are beautiful and secluded, and are by far
one of the biggest attractions for people visitng western Michigan-summer or winter. The Sleeping Bear Dunes and National
Seashore are a short drive.
Crystal Mountain resort is Michigan's most visited ski area. In summer it has a wonderful
golf course and small water park open to the public. It is 12 miles from Beulah.
In the winter, we offer 2 night stays with flexible check in/out times, as an alternative
to slope side lodging for skiers.
Betsie Valley trail is used one way for snowmobiles, the other way for walkers, cross country
skiiers, snowshoeing, and biking. It is accessible one block from our rental.
