A1 Performance Muffler system Upgrade
Here are some pics of Gumby with the new A1 Performance exhaust system. I do not own this exhaust system! I was talking to Jake Raby about an engine rebuild I was doing and asked him how the 912 type 4 conversion kits were coming. He mentioned that he needed an early 912 with a type 4 already in it for use as a template. Then he mentioned that A1 was in Santa Anna, Ca. Well, that's not far from me and I have an early 912 with a type 4 already in it. I quickly volunteered Gumby as the "template" car. After all, Jake had been super helpful during my rebuild, it was the least I could do for him.
I made arrangements with Tiger at A1 to bring my car over. Tiger showed me some other systems he had built and they were works of art. I knew he was going to make something great! Below are the pictures of the finished system. Jake currently has this system in-house and is testing it on his dyno. He is supposed to post his results on his webpage soon. Me, I'm happy to have been able to contribute something back to Jake for a change. Will I buy this system for my car? Depends. It will probably flow more than my stock engine can make. But, I have future plans for Gumby where this exhaust may be needed.
