The following long running annual festivals offer full weekend long dancing
opportunities. They are regularly attended by dancers from Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. These particular
festivals are also a reasonable distance from La Grande, OR, the home town of Star Promenaders. They are listed by date
sequence.
4th weekend in April in Baker City, OR. This
long running annual event is considered a "MUST ATTEND" festival by many
dancers from central and eastern Oregon, southeast Washington, and western Idaho. The food tables are loaded with
tempting goodies. You won't find a more friendly group than the Elkhorn Swingers. If you haven't been before,
make plans to go. You will be glad that you did!
MOXEE
Memorial Day weekend in Moxee (near Yakima, WA). This PLUS level festival goes a full extra day because of the holiday weekend. It also is preceeded
by optional trails in round dancing workshops and dances.
MUDDY FROGWATER
Third weekend in August in Milton-Freewater. In 2008 this festival
is cancelled (only in 2008) because the US West Square Dance Convention will be that weekend in Pendleton.
