The truck apparently had been used as a farm truck because it was originally a flat bed. There was a switch mounted on the dash for some sort of hoist system. I would guess the vehicle hauled hay because the undercarriage and frame were packed with mud and straws of hay. What a mess!

Truck sitting in it's new home. Grill had been painted brown over the original chrome.

Interior view of the dash, windshield and glovebox. Interior was a complete mess, with old style ( totally rotted) seat covers.

View showing the flat bed, which looked homemade (not original).

The rear axle was original with overload springs. I later found out that the gear ratio of the rear axle was 4:55. If it were running it could climb a tree but would not go over 30 MPH on the road.

The engine compartment with a 235 cu in installed instead of the original 216. I later found out that the engine (from the block numbers) was an early 1954 235 cu in.
