Over a period of a four years, the vehicle was slowly dismantled and prepared for restoration. During
this phase, parts were blasted and primered. As it turned out later a lot of these parts were never used.
After removing all sheet metal it was time for the first wash down. This is the front end, while washing off all the
mud and grease.

View of the rear axle and suspension. The rear crossmember of the frame had been broken and twisted. This was later
removed and replaced.

Close up of the engine and transmission. The transmission was a 3 speed Granny gearbox. Starter system was foot
operated. The electrical system had been upgraded to 12 volt, except there were no wires anywhere.

Thess two pictures are examples of rust through areas of the cab. There were several areas all over the cab that needed
repair, they all looked like this or worse. They cab and sheet metal had been through a chemical tank cleaning process to
remove paint and rust.


The instrument panel was complete, but with a lot rust, some of the cloth covered wires were still attached. The panel
was completely overhauled and restored.
