There will be two metal detector hunts on Saturday, October 11th, 2008 (rain or whatever…).
The hunts will be held along the dirt road leading to the club's Rocky Road mining claim. The entry fee will be $15.00 for
EACH hunt. Registration for these hunts will be on-site the day of the hunts. Hunts are open to all AVTHS Club members and
non-members. So pack up those metal detectors and head for the desert!
100% of entry fee monies will be put back into the
hunts.
The first hunt: Starts at 11:00 am. This hunt will last for
Thirty (30) minutes. Prizes to be announced at the hunt.
The second hunt: Starts at 1:00 pm. This hunt will last for Thirty
(30) minutes. Prizes to be announced at the hunt.
There will also be a 50/50 raffle.
Oktoberfest
Chili Cook-off: A friendly chili cook-off contest will commence with the cook'n
starting around 12 noon (AVTHS members only). Judging will start at 4:30 pm. and should be over by 5:15 pm.
Prizes; 1st place GOLD. 2nd. place SILVER. So
grab the fix'ns and come on up and join the fun! Bring a side dish that goes with chili, cause we're gonna chow down after
the contest.
