...And lousy reporting, too.
McLeod is neither an easy name to pronounce or to spell correctly. Nevertheless, it is imperative that journalists spell (and broadcast "journalists" say) proper names correctly. Why? Take a look at this old newspaper clip.
 
When my uncle, a long-time policeman in my town, passed away some years ago, you can imagine the disgust I felt when I opened the local paper to read the obituary. The family name is not only spelled wrong throughout, it is spelled incorrectly a variety of ways.
 
This is not only an example of bad reporting, it's bad copy-editing, too.
