Promotions and Rebates

 

Promotions can take on many forms; there’s price promotions, sales events, sales contests, free product trials, Buy 2 get 1 free, rebates, coupons, etc. Some companies rely on sales promotions (price discounting) and rebates far too often as a method to stimulate sales growth.  In some cases, the result is that these companies end up doing business only during promotional events.  While promotions can be beneficial when used judiciously, we suggest that more effort be spent defining the company’s competitive advantages before partaking in promotional actions.  However, we do suggest that promotions and rebates be used to add value, stimulate sales increases and to bolster customer retention.

 

We have found promotions, rebates and special offers to be quite effective; however, we evaluate the costs and proposed return thoroughly before suggesting any such implementations.
