Bags Needed for Can Route
Did you know the longer a plastic bag remains out of a
landfill the cleaner our water table remains?
Our students have been schooled in the importance of recycling
and would like to help you eliminate all those leftover shopping bags that you probably have in your house from your trips
to the supermarket. You know, the ones that fall out of the pantry when opening it, or make it impossible to close
the cabinet under the kitchen sink.
We'll take them off your hands.
It takes a whopping 700 bags a week to maintain our
weekly can route (see box below, right to learn more about the can route). Currently our supply is running low.
To keep our costs at a minimum, we rely on donations from family and friends. If you have a dozen or so bags you can spare
when we come by, tie them up in a single bag with a note and put them along side your generous donation of bottles and cans.
The environment thanks you and so do we!
