        Comments: The top image is of a normal U617. The next 4 images show the ultramarine fading away, until gone in the last image. The last image would be "U617a Ultramarine omitted, entire" according to Scott 1998 Specialized Catalogue of U.S. Stamps. For it to be a true U617a, the ultramarine must be completely missing, there cannot be any trace of ultramarine printing.
