Kuwait has issued various denominations of
revenue stamps with holograms on them. They were issued by the "Ministry
of Finance" in Kuwait and not the Postal Administration. They were issued
in the early 1990's, shortly after the liberation of Kuwait. They were
printed by Harrison & Sons Printers at High Wycombe. The denominations
that I know about are:
The high values were mainly used in passports
for residency fees. The lower valuse were used for certifying documnets
in places like the ministry for Foreign Affairs and dog vaccination papers.
Scott does not have any information about
them, yet. If you know anything about these stamps, send me e-mail, I would
welcome the information.
