1997. Entrance was from the street to the east (right) of the lot.

Notes:A product of the 1970s cookie-cutter style drive-ins, the South Bay 6 was one of a handful drive-ins in the South Bay area of Los Angeles County. The entrance way on Main Street led you towards the octogon shaped snack bar/projection booth located in the center of the lots. Admission booths directed you to the six screens on the sprawling lot.

The drive-in was located on prime land coveted by developers to build a football stadium. The city attempted to pursuade the National Football League to relocate a team or expand the league by creating a new team for Los Angeles. Unfortunately, some of the surrounding land turned out to be contaminated which complicated the stadium efforts and the proposed football stadium never came to fruition.

The South Bay 6 was Century Theatre's last d/i in Southern California and it closed on Thursday, December 11, 1997. The drive-in sat empty for a few years until it was demolished sometime around 2000. No trace of the drive-in remains.

Closed in 1997 and never reopened.
