Learn more about me.

Jimmy D'Anda was born and raised in East Los Angeles, CA.  Jimmy began playing drums at the age of 13. He created a daily drum-regiment for himself in his make-shift music room which also doubled as his bedroom. Over the next few years, Jimmy played in bands around the East L.A. and Montebello areas honing in on his chops until, one day, he was summoned to audition for a band which was later signed to Warner Bros.

Jimmy released 3 records with this major recording artist and toured the world with the likes of Cheap Trick, Bon Jovi, Cinderella, Poison and Winger. In 1994 Jimmy took a few years off to raise his son, Max. In 2000 Jimmy joined a band called Lithium. Some of the songs Jimmy recorded with Lithium will be appearing in the movie and trailer for Waking Up Dead releasing this year.  In 2001 Jimmy toured with George Lynch where they opened for Dio on their North American tour.

Jimmy is now working with Romero, a vocalist from Colorado.  He is also writing music for an upcoming film called Mexican Bloodbath.

Check out some of the videos I've done at Launch.com here.  My favorite is The Hard Core Groove which was directed by Jeff Stein who also directed the documentary, The Kids Are Alright about The Who.  It was really cool working with Jeff and hearing his stories about The Who.  For The Love Of Money was also a fun one to film, it was done early in my career.  It was directed by Nigel Dick who also directed our first video which was "Smooth Up" and he also directed videos for Guns N' Roses and Britney Spears...just to name a few.

You can also find out some information on past projects at VH1.com here.  You'll catch one of our videos on the Metal Mania show on VH1 every now and then.  You can also hear us on Hair Nation on Sirius radio.
